Sometimes
you just have to have more. I know, I know, moderation is the key to a happy and harmonious life, but hell, excess is the mother of fun. Or something like that.

Anyway, MK12 have been a webtip before. Once long long ago. Their ancient animation "Ultralove Ninja" was a luverly bit of video that made me say "OOH!"

So it shouldn't be surprising that stumbling upon their more recent works also made me go "OOH!". There was so much oohing and aahing my office was starting to sound like the synchron studio for an old-school porn flick. So I thought it was probably worth sharing it again.

The video they did for Funkstörung is my current favorite from their commercial works, while Man of Action: The Terrible Cosmic Death has to be my all time favorite piece on the site. It isn't their most sophisticated, as a matter of fact it's the second oldest animation on the site, but it has something special. Loads of Cheese.

Robots
Is apparently either in Austria or should be starting here soon. I have no knowledge of the film, other than the images I have seen on today's webtip. Well, there were the electronically enhanced toy robot shoes that apparently are a part of the merchandising package. I saw those on some geektoy site, but, otherwise I know nothink.

I do know that I like the work of Mr. Tsutsumi. I thought you might too.

Unfair and Unbalanced
That is probably the best way to describe the uncyclopedia. It's a wikipedia like collection of all the stuff that is never said. Not the truth mind you, just the things you think to yourself in those silent moments of absolute cynicism. It's politically incorrect, mean spirited, and frequently funny.

Whatever it may be it is NOT a reliable source of information on any subject. Good thing it's in English. The Amis are used to that kind of thing.

Cut and Paste
Used to mean just that. You cut out thingies from other thingies and then pasted them into some other thingies. In the olden times I used to make an entire magazine this way. And flyers. Loads of flyers.

I also used to collect flyers. So did lots of other people.

If you want to see some great examples of ancient flyer art, the collection of Danceteria print stuff is a pretty good place to start. It's also a nice to way to get yourself into the better part of the eighties aesthetic if you weren't lucky enough to have been there yourself.

It really wan't just Madonna and Duran Duran you know...

(and yes, this link is brought to you by BoingBoing)

Danceteria Flyer Collection

Flyer for a Bat Cave night at the Danceteria. From London to NYC (and I was stuck in Mpls.)

If anyone out there has a copy of the Bat Cave compilation, please let me know. ;)

Their Circular Life
is a tiny little art type site all about ...
life.

And it's circularity. Or at least about circles.

Like clocks.

And the days, you know, how the days are all like circles, and such.

And real circles, as in those lines with no beginning and no end.

And photography.

And the sound of life.

And flash.

And Life.

And how like, circular it can be.

Like clocks.

Cartographic Cartoon Fetishists
should be wetting themselves these days. Especially Simpson fans. I mean, it's not every animated television series that has a really big map made of it's main location. One that gets it put into the Harvard Map Collection.

It is like the title implies, rather large. You can either download the PDF and print it out to hang on your wall, or you can tour the online version which offers a small bit of interactivity.

Maybe you can even be clever enough to try to map out the route the family takes during the opening sequence.

Or maybe you have something better to do.
