One day in 1979, Bob Geldof picked up a newspaper & read the headline about a 16-year-old girl, Brenda Ann Spencer. She took a gun & shot kids arriving at their school in San Diego. A reporter asked her how she could do such a thing. She answered: ''I don't like Mondays. This livens up the day.'
I don't like Mondays
The insanity of it all ... "I don't like Mondays" those words Bob Geldof felt he had to put into a song. An insane moment ... something so unusual it could never happen again. Wrong ....these things have kept on happening ...
not every month .... not every year .. but they happen ... and they are devastating.

The Columbine School shooting took place 5 years ago last Tuesday. 12 students and one teacher at Colombine High School in Littleton, Colorado were killed in cold blood by two fellow students who in turn, killed themselves. And are there similarities to the school shooting in Erfurt in Germany?
On April 24th 2002, nineteen year-old Robert Steinhäuser ate his breakfast & then armed himself with a pistol and a pump-action gun and went on to kill 12 teachers, two students, one secretary, and a police officer and himself. School Shootings - we'll be searching for answers!
