A little Soul:

1. Nico Gomez & His Afro Percussion Inc. / El Condor Pasa (1970)
The Isley Brothers / Love The One You're With (1971)

2. James Last / Hare Krishna (1970)
Johnny Bristol / Morganton, North Carolina (1974)

3. Anamaria & Mauricio / No! No! No! Estamos Na Nossa (1970)
Ramsey & Co. / Love Call (1980)

Nico Gomez & His Afro Percussion Inc. / El Condor Pasa (1970)
Nico Gomez & His Afro Percussion Group is apparently essentially the same group as the Chakachas, well known for their track "Jungle Fever", which was used to great effect in the movie "Boogie Nights". Although clearly very funk-influenced, they sound authentically South American, so it's interesting to note that they were apparently a Belgian group. In 1970 Nico Gomez released a pretty freaky version of "El Condor Pasa".

The Isley Brothers / Love The One You're With (1971)
Three brothers, O'Kelly (b. 25 December 1937, d. 31 March 1986), Rudolph (b. 1 April 1939) and Ronald Isley (b. 21 May 1941), began singing gospel in their home-town of Cincinnati, USA, in the early 50s, accompanied by their brother Vernon, who died in a car crash around 1957. Moving to New York the following year, the trio issued became one of the longest running acts in Rock and Roll history, The Isley Brothers have been around, in one form or another, for about a half century. The group's distinguished career has spanned not only two generations of Isley siblings, but also massive cultural shifts and several different styles of music.

James Last / Hare Krishna (1970)
Taken from the ultra-rare James Last album "Hair". The undisputed king of the party James Last, so-called Hansi, by his friends, born in 1929 in Bremen, Germany, is one of the world's famous bandleaders. Name Ray Conniff, Bert Kaempfert, Glenn Miller - think of James Last, too. Fact is, that at this time Hansi is the owner of now 208 golden and 14 platin records. Since 1965, when he first entered the stage with his own music and records, he had been producing and composing hundreds of records, spread in millions all over the world. Maybe James is best recognize for his "Non-Stop Dancing" records.

Johnny Bristol / Morganton, North Carolina (1974)
B. 3rd February 1939, Morganton, North Carolina, U.S.A. Johnny Bristol's career began within the developing Motown circle. He first recorded in 1960 as part of the duo of Johnny And Jackie. Bristol remained with the company, and over the next 10 years, in a partnership with Harvey Fuqua, forged a successful career as a producer and songwriter with Edwin Starr, David Ruffin, Detroit Spinners, Stevie Wonder and Junior Walker. Bristol left Motown in 1973, and joined MGM Records with his international smash, "Hang On in There Baby".

Anamaria & Mauricio / No! No! No! Estamos Na Nossa (1970)
Taken from the ultra-rare album "No No No... Estamos Na Nossa". This killer bossa-jazz Lp from 1970 by brasilian duo Anamaria & Mauricio is one of the coolest samba records ever released in Rio de Janeiro.

Ramsey & Co. / Love Call (1980)
Another one of those cool, rar, vintage club tracks of authentic old school disco! "Love Call" by the very obscure Ramsey and Co. is a song with a nice Rhodes lead riff and solo. Composer Mainor Ramsey wrote, produced, arranged and with his own money released the song. It was the one and only release of his label Ramco and probably even distributed by himself.

Im Sumpf (21-23)
mit Fritz Ostermayer und Thomas Edlinger

Zu Gast: DJ Still alias Hsi Chang.

Liquid Radio (00-01)
  by the Orb
Mit dem epischen 23-Minuten-Monster "A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That Rules From The Centre Of The Ultraworld" eroberten The Orb 1989 musikalisches Neuland zwischen Ambient-Sounds und Rave-Ästhetik.

Alle Stücke aus dem Album "Okie Dokie It's The Orb On Kompakt" (Kompakt Records, VÖ: 26.10.) außer * vom Album "Orb Sessions Vol.1" (Malicious Damage Records, VÖ: 10.11.)
