DVD Corner: Compilation Klaus Beyer Klaus Beyer, deutscher Beatles-Song-Interpret und Schlingensief-Darsteller. Beyer ist seit 17. Jänner in Christoph Schlingensiefs "Area 7 - Matthäusexpedition" im Burgtheater zu sehen. Beyer ist auch filmisch aktiv. Seine Super 8 Filme aus den 80-er Jahren, zusammengestellt von Jörg Buttgereit (Horrorfilmer) und Frank Behnke (Ex Mutter Gitarrist), werden vom eigenen Label Amsel Rec. & Films erstmalig auf DVD veröffentlicht. Sein MTV Hit "Die Glatze" dabei, genauso wie "Kreuzberger Frauen sind lang". Unter den Bonusfilmen findet sich auch das legendäre "Ballade von Struppi". (Petra Erdmann)
The Geisha Craze!
The world is going geisha crazy! After watching Rob Marshall's blockbuster "Memoirs of a Geisha", many are looking up the vast wealth of books on geisha. More than that, geisha fashion and style is definitely in. But how close is the real geisha world to the Hollywood version, set in 1929 of the young girl from a fishing village who gets sold into slavery to a Kyoto geisha house.
On Reality Check we go to Japan where our reporter has been speaking with geisha women. We find out what it takes to become a geisha and hear from author Lesley Downer who spent 6 months in a geisha community in Kyoto. We also speak with Mako Yoshikawa who tells us about her great-grandmother, who was sold by her family many years ago to a geisha house.
