10 years ago Dolly the sheep, the first animal clone, was born at the Roslin Institute in Scotland. Her birth caused an uproar. While some applauded the break-though, others saw it as a step towards armies of Frankenstein monsters around the corner. This Saturday's Reality Check looks at developments in the 10 years since Dolly, the successes, the failures, and the moral issues involved. What other animals have been cloned since Dolly? What about the cloning of endangered species? Are we heading towards Jurassic Park and bringing back dinosaurs or is that idea locked in the world of fantasy? And what about human cloning? Spielzimmer (00-01)
Ein Doublefeature gibt es heute im FM4-Spielzimmer zu. Zuerst die Spinto Band, eine Indie-Rock-Band aus den USA, die schon ein paar Alben veröffentlicht hat, inspiriert von Bands wie Pavement oder den Flaming Lips. Erst letztes Jahr aber hat sich die Spinto Band ein größeres Publikum erspielt. Die nächste Band dann im FM4 Spielzimmer heute heisst Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, ebenfalls eine Indie-Rock Band aus den USA, aber über die, glaub ich, muss ich nicht wirklich etwas erzählen, sind ja FM4 Lieblinge und oft im Programm bei uns.
Beide Bands haben letztes Jahr in Paris gespielt. Die Spinto Band beim Les Inrocks Festival letzten November, und im August haben Clap Your Hands Say Yeah beim Rock En Seine Festival gespielt.
