Vienna's Lost Daughters A compelling documentary will be premiering in cinemas across Austria next week and its unique subject matter begs for a redefinition of the term 'Heimatfilm'. Director Mirjam Unger's "The Lost Daughters of Vienna" features women whose escape, as children, from Vienna during the Nazi regime's reign of terror, eventually led to US citizenship and residency in New York City. Reality Check speaks to three of these courageous, resilient, and wonderfully good-humoured women as it focuses on "The Lost Daughters of Vienna".
