Dave digs the dirt, webtips and IT-memes.

Today's webtip
Is HUGE money. Really. Ginormous amounts of cash pass through various companies koffers.

So it's a pretty clever idea to snag some of that lucre in order to make the world a bit better place.

Ecocho is a search page that uses the money it generates to plant trees. Trees are good. They do things like eat polluters and invade corporate board rooms and they bake cookies for the poor and read stories to people in nursing homes.

That's why people want more.

Personally, I just like climbing in them.

It's Party Time!!
woot!! And so on and so forth. Throw yer hands in the air, and party like you just don't ...

Well, actually, aside from a few small mishaps involving fire and flooding, and excessive amounts of alcohol being spilled on the floors of public institutions, the Rob÷xotica is not really much of a braindead Sauforgie. It IS a fabulous place to meet some interesting people, maybe get served some drinks by an interesting robot or two, and eventually enjoy a presentation by some rather clever individuals.

The opening party is tonight, and I will be doing my best to get there and have a little fun. And yes, this is only the beginning of an event it may be worth travelling for.

See you there?

is cute. Trust me. I know about small.

I'm also pretty good at cute, although you might not guess that by looking at me. That's okay, because the true excitement in life is getting a look at whats behind the curtain.

That's a type of excitement that some lucky individuals will get to experience when they stumble across one of the boxes in the Matchboxproject. One more reason I wish I was in Sydney.

The Collective
isn't an online label or a music distribution site. It's a family. A family of musicians who love making music and want to share it with the world. In their F.A.Q. they actually advise people who hope to make money with their music to either go somewhere else or to consider becoming lawyers or something. I liked that advice.

And I fell in love. That kind of barefoot granola snacking patchouli exuding I wanna hug the world kind of love. The very first song I landed on was a cutefest that perfectly mirrored my mood fro the day before. Imagine Kimya Dawson with siblings and a little less snark.

So the whole thing is free, the music is all under a CC license, and it's just plain nifty.

AND for those of you who aren't afraid of cute, check out the song "Everything is Beautiful":
